Elevate your charcuterie board during the holiday season (or really any time of the year!) with this sweet, savoury, crunchy, and irresistibly creamy baked brie with fig jam recipe!
4tablespoonsof fig jamyou can add more if you'd like!
1-2tablespoonsbalsamic glaze
3tablespoonscrushed roasted hazelnuts
1fresh sage sprig
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350° F on bake.
Unwrap the brie and place the wheel of brie cheese in the brie baker or in a baking dish lined with parchment paper.
Cover the top of the brie with fig jam, crushed roasted hazelnuts, and a sprig of fresh sage. Place the brie baker on the middle rack in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. To check if the brie is done, use the back of a spoon to press down lightly on the centre of the brie cheese. If it feels very soft, then the brie is done and ready to be removed from the oven. You may also start to see gooey brie cheese come out of the sides, if that's the case, then it's ready too!
Now, for the best part, place the brie baker on a heat-resistant surface, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and use a small knife to cut into the creamy melted brie. Serve immediately with pita chips, baguette slices, dried figs, or really anything that you'd like to spread creamy brie cheese on top of.
Notes
You can use a brie baker, an oven-safe shallow baking dish, or place the wheel of brie on parchment paper on a baking sheet. If you're using a brie baker, don't cover the brie with the lid while you're baking it in the oven.
